Lett Chiropractic Center’s Financial Policy Our goal is to provide the finest chiropractic care at a reasonable cost. We will be happy to verify your insurance benefits before your visit. Just call us at 601-545-5388 or e-mail us at lettcas@aol.com with your insurance information and we will call your insurance carrier for details. Patient’s without insurance coverage. Payment is expected at the time of service. We accept cash, check, Visa, Discover and MasterCard. However, Dr. Lett believes that everyone should have access to chiropractic care and we can set-up a payment plan to meet your financial and treatment needs. We offer a 15% time of service discount for fees paid at the time of service (supplies and durable medical equipment not included). This discount excludes Federal Entitlement recipients and applies to non-billed services. Group or Individual Insurance. Chiropractic care is covered by most insurance companies, though some plans are more limited than others. We will contact your insurance company to verify your chiropractic benefits. We will file your insurance and help you receive the maximum benefits under your plan. However, insurance is designed to reduce your cost, not eliminate it, and you are responsible for your deductible, co-pay and any non-covered services. Payment of your portion of the charges is expected at the time of service, unless we have set-up a payment plan to meet your financial needs. If your insurance company disputes, rejects or delays payment of your claim for more than 90 days, it will be your responsibility to pay the charges and pursue reimbursement from your carrier. Lett Chiropractic Center is a participating provider with: Blue Cross/Blue Shield, including federal, State of Mississippi and CHIPS Private Health Care Systems (PHCS) Mississippi Physicians Care Network (MPCN) United Health Care/ACN First Choice First Health Fox Everett Corvel Medicare. We are a Medicare provider. In a chiropractic office, Medicare covers manipulation of the spine for the corrective treatment of a neuromusculoskeletal condition. The condition must be substantiated by X-Ray and/or examination. However, Medicare does not pay for X-Ray, examination, physiotherapy, orthopedic supports or maintenance therapy. Medicare does not pay for all your healthcare costs. When you receive a service that is not a Medicare benefit you a responsible to pay for it. You are also responsible for the Medicare deductible and 20% co-pay for allowable charges. If you have a Medicare supplement or secondary insurance, we will gladly file it for you. Medicaid. We are a Medicaid provider. Medicaid covers X-Ray and manipulation of the spine for the corrective treatment of a neuromusculoskeletal condition. Medicaid allows up to $700.00 in treatment, from July to June, with only a $3.00 co-pay per visit. Personal Injury or Automobile Accidents. If you have charges stemming from a personal injury, we will be willing to wait up to 3 months for payment (excluding supplies or durable medical goods, which must be paid at the time of service) provided there is a reasonable expectation that payment will be made from insurance proceeds, or settlement of a liability claim. However, if the insurance company or attorney refuses to protect the interests of the doctor, or if it appears that there is no attorney or insurance coverage, you must pay for services on a current basis. Also, the balance must be paid within 48 hours of settlement of your claim. Worker’s Compensation. Before treatment is initiated in this office for an on the job injury, you must provide us the necessary information concerning your employer’s Worker’s Compensation insurance. Treatment for a covered injury is normally paid 100% by your employer’s Worker’s Compensation insurance. If you were injured on the job in Mississippi you have the right to choose your physician.
